Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge Erected Main Cables

Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge succeeded in traction of the first pair of strands on 11th April, which is predicted to be finished erection by the end of this June.

It is said by the manager of this project that Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is a three-tower suspension bridge with two main cables as the main bearing structure which can bear more than 80 thousand tons. The two main cables are 11 thousand tons which are made up of 114 cables. Diameter of each main cable is 686 mm. Each cable is 2285-meter-long, 50 tons and made up of 127 galvanized high-strength steel wires. The vertical hangers will be hung after erection of main cables and steel beams will be lifted by the end of this year. The bridge is predicted to open to traffic by the end of next year.
