Yangluo Highway Bridge over the Yangtze River, having a total length of 2.725km and a deck width of 33m with six traffic lanes in dual direction, is located in Wuhan, Hubei Province.
The main bridge is a single-suspended-span suspension bridge with a central span of 1280m. The bridge girder is a 38.5m wide and 3.0m deep steel box. The sag-to-span ratio of the main cables is 1/10.5.Each main cable consists of 154 parallel wire bundles but increased by 8 bundles in the north side span, and each bundle includes 127φ 5.35mm steel wires. The hangers are made with parallel wire bundles. The towers supported by bored piles are reinforced concrete portal frames with X-shaped steel bracings. The south tower is 169.812m high and the north tower is 163.312m high. The northern and  southern anchor blocks are deep-buried gravity anchorages.
The main features of the bridge are: (1) The application of portal reinforced concrete frame towers with X-shaped steel bracings in China for the first time; (2) The development of an online-monitoring unbonded replaceable cable anchorage system.
